This class teaches students how find alignment and intelligence through a breathing, moving meditation. This class will help the student breed a deeper awareness for the subtleties in the practice as well as their daily lives. Whether you are a first-time yoga student or an experienced Ashtangi, you will benefit from this class, as we like to explore and fine-tune the foundations of the practice. Modifications on poses are offered for varying levels. We warm up and build our endurance and our happiness at the same time. Join us. Taught by Joe and Allegra Wolff.

Happy Hour Vinyasa

A great way to unwind from the week before starting your weekend. This class is designed to give you a strong foundation in fun, while being both safe and effective. This is a fluid vinyasa class, using elements of the Ashtanga approach, but resequenced to lend a sense of playfulness and accessibility for everyone. We explore the dynamic synergy between effort and letting go. You will leave feeling refreshed, energized, and relaxed, with the night still young. So come and join us in this breathing, moving, and feeling meditation.

Mixed Level Yoga

Practice developing balance, flexibility and strength with students of all levels: beginners as well as intermediate and advanced students are welcome here! We practice together following our breath and our inner experience to find the level that is perfect for us. Modifications on poses are offered for varying levels. We warm up and build our endurance and our happiness at the same time. Join us.

Ashtanga Yoga

Builds inner warmth in a moving meditation by practicing poses in a continual flow, like pearls strung together by the breath.

Mixed Vinyasa

This uplifting class fuses meditation, breath and posture to release tensions and to enliven the body with prana, the universal life force. Through joyously joining breath to movement, flowing from posture to posture we attain a natural state of dynamic balance. This class is ideal for the yoga student who enjoys moving and for whom the practice of yoga is and act of devotion.

Gentle Yoga

For students who are learning that you don’t have to go 100 miles an hour to find transformation. This class is gentle yet focused, allowing students to work therapeuticly with yoga poses and breathing. Get stronger through slowing down. All levels welcome.

Intermediate/Advanced Yoga

Intermediate Yoga is a more challenging class for students who have been practicing for a few years. It’s a thorough and energetic warm up followed by sustained and deep posture with an emphasis on the breath.

Level I Yoga

Explores the fundamentals of yoga poses and basic alignment. Learn how to move in and out of different poses and flows safely. Learn to breathe into the body and let that breath guide your movements building strength, balance and flexibility. Work with basic breathing techniques to bring the mind to a state of peace and allow a greater relaxation and meditation.

This is a great class for adult beginners or people who want a slower yoga class.

Prenatal Yoga

Practicing yoga in pregnancy helps to strengthen and stretch muscles, release tension and maintain good posture. Prenatal yoga also teaches you to relax with cues and keep a positive outlook while clearing the mind of the stresses associated with pregnancy and motherhood. In class you will learn yoga exercises that help prepare for labor, delivery and motherhood as well as breathing techniques useful in labor.

Yoga Basics

A supportive, playful setting where those new to yoga can learn the basics of poses and develop a foundation for their practice.  With a strong focus on alignment, connection to the breath, and developing each pose in a way that is right for your body, Yoga Basics empowers each individual practitioner to claim ownership over the practice, as well as deepen their knowledge and understanding of their own body.  Yoga Basics also offers a wonderful setting for established practitioners to revitalize their practice.  Join us for this exploration of the practice of yoga!

Lunar Yoga

Particularly tuned to the rhythms and needs of women, this deeply grounding vinyasa practice based on Moon Salutations opens the heart and hips and creates space for peace within the body, breath, and mind. Students are encouraged to choose between different options that can help them to find and express their personal path and nourish their bodies and spirits. Individual needs and requests are highly honored, and diversity of choice within the practice is encouraged. A great compliment and/or alternative to regular vinyasa classes (which are based on Sun Salutations), Lunar Yoga puts considerably less stress on the wrists and shoulders – two commonly injured areas. This class is suitable for all levels, including beginners and those working with injuries — and yes, men are welcome, too.

Gentle Flow

Lunar vinyasa series, slow & intentional movements coordinated with the rhythm of your own breath, and flowing linked series of relaxation postures for exploring the edge of your bliss! Perfect way to start your weekend. Give yourself the gift of intentional restoration, come to yoga class Friday at 4:15pm at YogaNow here!

And for everyone, as always, YogaNow offers a safe, relaxing, and supportive atmosphere to add fun and joy to your life.

Insight Meditation

This class offers an opportunity to practice meditation based on the Anapanasati Sutra, as taught by the Buddha, in which mindful breathing is used to develop both Samatha (A serene and concentrated mind) and Vipassana (Insightful seeing). Mindfulness meditation is a practical, kind way of cultivating our innate potential for being present in and for our lives. As a practice, mindfulness can help us to see ourselves and our lives with greater clarity and compassion. Out of such clear seeing, we can learn to face each moment, no matter how challenging or intense, with greater calm, stability, acceptance and creativity. We also practice the Brahma-viharas,the four qualities (lovingkindness, compassion, appreciative joy and equanimity) that the Buddha taught which lead to the “liberation of the heart which is love.”

Vinyasa Yoga for All Levels

Vinyasa, or flowing breath-oriented postures, can be challenging. Through the practice of krama, or stages, we discover our own appropriate edges and balance concerns. Saturday morning class will provide you with a perfect opportunity to explore the kramas that are right for you while allowing you to open to increasingly vast vistas in your physical practice. All levels welcome to breathe and flow together.
