Yoga Retreat Into Yourself

Ghost Ranch Teacher Training
 & Personal Enrichment 2012 & 2013: Flyer

How about a destination yoga teacher training and personal enrichment retreat that doesn’t require a passport or visa and yet, you are transported into another realm?

The YogaNow Teacher Training & Personal Enrichment Program will be held at just such a destination: Ghost Ranch in Northern New Mexico.

Ghost Ranch is a place of stunning beauty and inspiration and is the perfect destination to immerse yourself into the riches of yoga so you can dive into who you truly are, sacred and beautiful. Ghost Ranch offers a sanctuary for deep self-exploration with its vistas, walking meditation labyrinth, Japanese dry landscape garden (karesansui), spectacular hikes and wide open skies.

Guided by the rich and deep path of yoga we will embrace the many practices and philosophies of yoga and apply them to ourselves as this is not a theoretical experience but a felt one. We will use the award winning book, Vital Yoga: A Sourcebook for Students and Teachers and read the seminal yogic texts as the underpinning of our learning.
The YogaNow Teacher Training & Personal Enrichment Program is a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) program to become registered with the Yoga Alliance. However, you don’t have to want to be a teacher to participate in this program, you only have to have the desire to grow with yoga, from the inside out.

There are two ten day sessions, one session October 19-28, 2012 and one February 15-24, 2013. For both sessions you will arrive for dinner on Friday and we continue through the week, completing after lunch on Sunday.  To complete the Registered Yoga Teacher Training you must take both sessions.

Meta Chaya Hirschl will lead this yoga retreat with assistance from visiting faculty who provide specialized expertise. Meta is the author of Vital Yoga: A Sourcebook for Students and Teachers and owned and operated a yoga studio in Albuquerque for twelve years. She has facilitated workshops locally and abroad.  Meta is passionate about sharing her love of yoga as yoga changed her life. After the birth of her first child in 1987 she developed asthma and was consigned to drugs and a vastly constricted life. Through yoga she enjoys radiant and robust health including hiking up and down the Grand Canyon five times and preparing for a second marathon. It is her honor and privilege to share the wisdom of yoga.

You prepare for the retreat by reading the great texts, The Yoga Sutras and Bhagavad Gita, and Vital Yoga; A Sourcebook for Students and Teachers by Meta Hirschl, who developed this retreat. You will have other reading and writing assignments between the two sessions and we’ll have monthly meetings on phone or Skype.
